Coordination of Groups of Mobile Autonomous Agents

چکیده
Currently there is considerable interest in understanding on the one hand, how various animal aggregations such as fish schools, bird flocks, deer herds, etc. coordinate their collective motions to perform useful tasks and on the other, how groups of mobile autonomous agents such as AUV schools, UAV flocks, etc., might be instructed to cooperate in a similar manner [1]. In this talk we will will briefly overview several problems within this area. Not surprisingly, each involves some aspect of graph theory.

A Consensus Algorithm for Synchronous Distributed Systems using Mobile Agent
In this paper, we present a consensus algorithm for synchronous distributed systems using cooperating mobile agents. The algorithm is designed within a framework for mobile agent enabled distributed server groups (MADSG), where cooperating mobile agents are used to achieve coordination among the servers. Being autonomous and cooperative, cooperating mobile agents exchange information among them...
متن کاملXML Dataspaces for the Coordination of Internet Agents
This paper presents MARS-X, a programmable coordination architecture for autonomous and mobile Internet agents. In MARS-X, mobile Internet agents coordinate through programmable XML dataspaces, accessed by agents in a Linda-like fashion. This suits very well the characteristics of both mobile Internet agents and the Internet environment itself, because MARS-X enforces open and uncoupled interac...
متن کاملCoordination Approach to Find Best Defense Decision with Multiple Possibilities among Robocup Soccer Simulation Team
In 2D Soccer Simulation league, agents will decide based on information and data in their model. Effective decisions need to have world model information without any noise and missing data; however, there are few solutions to omit noise in world model data; so we should find efficient ways to reduce the effect of noise when making decisions. In this article we evaluate some simple solutions whe...
متن کاملEffects of Mobile Phone Radiation on Surface Tension and Volume Flow Rate of Human Blood groups
Introduction: The great use of electrical appliances in different life applications is one of the most obvious concerns because of its possible health drawbacks. These investigation reports results of electromagnetic field effect emitted from mobile phones on some biophysical parameters of human blood belonging to blood groups A, B, AB & O collected from the normal persons. The parameters obser...
متن کاملMulti-agent coordination using nearest neighbor rules: revisiting the Vicsek model
Recently, Jadbabaie, Lin, and Morse (2003) offered a mathematical analysis of the discrete time model of groups of mobile autonomous agents raised by Vicsek et al. in 1995. In their paper, Jadbabaie et al. showed that all agents shall move in the same heading, provided that these agents are periodically linked together. This paper sharpens this result by showing that coordination will be reache...
